Evolution is nature’s reflex to ensure dominance in demanding environments. The Breeze changed it all in 2004 and a decade later, it’s only gotten more breathable, lighter, and more durable. Perfectly suited for an effort beyond what you thought “possible.” Whether that’s faster or farther is up to you.

UPPER

Nubuck leather and a molded rubber toe bumper are combined with large areas of highly abrasion resistant air mesh for trail durability and superior breathability. An air mesh tongue with full gusset keeps out dust and debris. Webbing speed-lacing eyelets plus durable metal hooks in the upper cuff allow for fast and precise closure.

SOLE

Vasque exclusive Vibram® Contact sole with XSTrek Compound is designed with a mix of geometric, organic and serrated lugs for excellent stability and traction in loose, uneven terrain. A defined heel brake provides positive control on steep descents. The dual density EVA midsole is inspired by athletic shoe design, giving ample cushioning during heel strike and providing a stable platform for toe-off propulsion. A molded TPU plate gives structure to the mid-foot while a wishbone shape supports the metatarsals, resisting lateral flex, for a very stable trail platform.

Rated 4 out of 5 by A very good pair of boots I bought mine back in '09 and I've hiked a lot of miles the past 6 yrs in all seasons and conditions. From day hikes to weekend backpack trips they have been put to the test. They are still in great shape and keep my feet dry as well as give me the support I need with no aching knees or lower back. The leather, vibram sole, goretex and stitching are still intact and just as comfortable as the day I bought them. Knock on wood I've had great luck with these boots and hopefully will get another 6 yrs of use out of them. June 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by I loved these boots They fit great. I have worn them on the AT, and they work for me. They are comfortable and support well. April 10, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Lighter is not always better I had previously purchased Vasque hiking boot for me teenage daughter; they are excellent boots. After years of wearing the Merrell Phaser Peak hiking boots, I thought I would look for something lighter. After much research, I settled on the Vasque Breeze 2.0. While they are perhaps the most comfortable hiking boots I have ever put on, they don’t provide the ankle support I have with the Merrell Phasers. I am six foot four and weigh 265 pounds. I found I need the extra support the stiffer, heavier Merrells provide. Does Vasque make another boot that would be more suitable for my needs? September 17, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Breeze 2.0 Interesting negative comment-I purchased a similar pair the fall of 2012-it is probably my 12 th pair over the last 22 years. And I realized the soles were separating-not as bad as the previous reviewer but it deteriorated faster then my previous Vasques. I wonder if it was the rubber/glue from the 2011/2012 production? Rated 1 out of 5 by Not worth the money I bought a pair of Breeze GTX in May of 2012. Within a year I noticed what felt like a rock under my heel when driving. Just AFTER the 1 year warranty I realized that the soles on both shoes were separating. I emailed Vasque, sending pictures, and got no response. I glued them but they didn't hold, and the soles themselves have worn quickly. My last pair of boots was a $99 EMS store brand pair with GoreTex linings that I wore almost every day for 13 years! I would expect a boot that cost $160 to last more than 11 months before falling apart. Definitely not worth the money. June 26, 2014
