by KatieTN Best Shoes I've ever purchased
Let me start with I am not incredibly outdoorsy. My job sent me out into the wilderness for three weeks working on a TV show I wore these for around 14 hours a day, walking miles and miles. I wore these shoes in 3 feet of snow, in pouring down rain, my feet never got wet. I wore them on rocks, in caves, on a mountain, dirt, mud, and sand. GREAT ankle protection, and overall comfortable. Best shoe purchase I've ever made.

This is a great all around hiking boot. While at work and standing on concrete all day, I wear my Redwing work boots. The rest of the time I am wearing my Vasque Breeze boots. These are great around the house, going for walks, hikes and the beach. I wear them around the house and when I drive into the city. I feel like these boots can be at home in any situation and any environment. Ohhh and get this....I wear them as my jogging shoes to jog around town. Yep, a hiking boot that works as a running shoe. Holy smopes.
Other than for standing on concrete all day, these are my go to shoes for every other part of life. Buy a pair, you will love them.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by bbbb Replacing boots because of worn soles
These boots are wonderfully comfortable, needing no break-in time. I especially like that they are available in 7-wide for women. I have had my boots for something under 2 years and they still provide excellent support. The uppers are in great condition and would likely be serviceable for many more years IF the soles weren't so worn. The way they are constructed, my local shoe repair guy can't replace the soles. I am very disappointed the boots didn't last longer. It makes me wonder what a reasonable life expectancy is for these boots. I do a fair amount of trail hiking, over some rocks and other rough surfaces, and probably an equal amount of city/suburban sidewalk-walking.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by JB22 Total failure in the rain
I bought a pair last summer to use for backpacking. The first heavy rain and my feet were soaked within an hour ( stopping regularly to wring water out of my socks!!) and they stayed that way while the rain lasted for two days. REI replaced the boots and I thought to try again since the boots fit my feet just right. Just got back from backpacking in the desert where it rained heavily for a day. Again, my feet were soaked within an hour. DO NOT buy these boots if you like to stay dry in the rain.

Best boots I have ever owned. Grip on every step. Lightweight. Firm sole prevents twisting on rots or rocks. I am very happy with these boots. The insole is just a liner so you must spend for a quality product to go inside. Other then the hidden cost, I am very happy and recommend them to anyone. They come in a variety of wide sizes, which for me is a must.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Eric Best lightweight hiking boot I ever bought AND waterproof
I really have not experienced any of the problems of other purchasers of the Breeze. I have found its performance outstanding in almost every category. I bought my first pair in 2014 in anticipation of walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain. I needed a lightweight, very flexible, very waterproof boot because of certain foot issues of my own. A very rigid, heavier boot for 500 miles on uneven terrain was just going to kill my feet. I wore the breeze every day for 25-30 kilometers, with a custom orthopedic insert and Smartwool medium cushion hiking socks. Not once in the 500 miles did I get blisters or any other sores- unlike most of my fellow travelers. It rained for several days in the Pyrenees Mountains, and I only got MINIMAL water intrusion. I am still wearing these a year later just for yard work, and the only thing thats starting to fail is the seal on the rubber toe guards. In the meantime, I've bought two extra. pairs for future trips. Don't forget that on any very long hike, even with the best cushioning inside, any abnormally high toe or individual bone structure may give you discomfort. Thats what moleskin and bandages are for.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by GaryO Originals were much better ...
I am torn between yes or no as far as a recommendation ....
Vasque makes excellent product however the 2.0 version of this boot is not on par with the original version.
Fit and durability are not there on this version - shoe lace hooks are easily bendable out of shape but not back into shape.
The original version was the only boot I have bought for about 8 or 9 years - have the new version and this will be my last unfortunately.
They are falling apart and hurt my feet unlike the originals.
Please bring the originals back ...

I have had three pairs of Clarion GTX from Vasque and they were comfortable out of the box. The Breeze 2.0 GTX has a very narrow toe box. I wear size 14 and Vasque does not make a wide so I tried a 15 but that is too narrow for my left foot.
I also don't like the rocker action on trails. It might seem to help propel you forward on sidewalks but trails are uneven and rocky. A bad and sad design.
I will probably have to return them.
