Rated 5 out of 5Â by Drose Excellent boot!
I recently went backpacking in Alaska for a month using the Breeze 2.0. They are an amazing boot, very comfortable, and all around an amazingly awesome boot!!

I was preparing for a climb to Mt Rainier and chose this boot. Immediately the boot felt good sliding it on and didn't need my orthotics, which is a rarity with finding good shoes.
I wore these boots to Mt. Rainier, Helmcken Falls in British Columbia, with a lot of hiking and urban terrain in between. This is an excellent pair of boots. Since the year I've used them, they've become my partner in every thing i do. This boot is as sturdy a boot i have ever worn. I have never turned my ankle in them which is a big plus on uneven terrain. However, now the boot is showing its wear and having been wet so many times, they are starting to curve upward, necessitating the need to replace them. Honestly, these boots have gone on a lot of my adventures and they're still sturdy enough to wear. I'm gonna keep my first pair of Vasques for posterity's sake. If you want an excellent boot and partner on your adventures, get a pair. you wont be disappointed. Always go one half size up for foot swelling after long walks or climbs.

I gave these boots a 4-star rating and fair in performance because they did not keep my feet dry. These boots are marketed as waterproof. To me waterproof means that if I cross a shallow ford and water does not go over the top of the boots or I stand in the same water that is about 2"-3" deep for a few minutes my feet should stay completely dry. I was wearing them for the second time, walked less than 5 miles in them, and my feet got damp after standing in the shallow water for about 10 minutes while composing and taking a photograph. Otherwise, they are very comfortable and have been since putting them on the first time.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by LuvtheWest I wouldn't hike in anything else
I frequently travel out west and enjoy hiking in the national parks. Wearing these boots, I have hiked in the desert, in the red rock canyons of Utah and Nevada, and last fall, on a hike to Panorama Point, Mt. Rainier. These boots were comfortable right out of the box (be sure to get a half size larger than your normal size to accomodate foot swelling on long hikes) and have proven comfortable regardless of terrain. I have hiked for hours over rocky terrain and my feet are not bothered one bit. Keep in mind, these are Gortex and if wearing wool socks your foot may get damp from sweating, but I have never had an issue with water getting in and I have walked in torrential rain and puddles in them. I love the higher tops as they provide excellent ankle support and have probably saved me from a few sprained ankles. The traction is excellent in nearly all conditions. I own two pair of Vasque hiking boots and I will remain a loyal customer as long as they keep building boots this great. I simply don't think there is a better boot out there.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by MuddyMatt Very comfortable and light to boot!
These boots have treated me well. I've hiked, backpacked and snowshoed in them. They still look great after about 150-200 miles of trail use. I typically wear trail runners but these are my go-to boots when I'm carrying a lot of extra equipment or when I know I'll be going off-trail in steep terrain. They're extremely comfortable out of the box and are light for the support and protection they provide. They're also fairly breathable compared with other waterproof boots I've used.
My only gripe is the integrity of the waterproofing. Both boots in my pair let water in from somewhere near my toes whenever I cross water in them. My socks don't get completely soaked if I'm fast about my crossings but you might want to consider a more robust boot if you need something 100% waterproof. I've had my pair for over a year so it's possible that Vasque has improved the waterproofing since I bought mine.
I recommend these for being light and comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by sindex great boots, but get fitted at your local store!
These are hands down the most comfortable hiking boots I've ever put on - and they're light and breathable! But be aware you should "size up" by a half size (I almost always wear a 10.5 Wide, and the 11 fits me like a glove). I walked out of the store and did 6 miles, no problems and no problems since.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by BFrank Wide widths too narrow
Let me begin by stating that I have a difficult time finding footwear. I wear a 13 2E, which isn't that odd, but boots and sneakers are not cut for a wide foot.
I was thrilled to find these boys in my size. I needed a pair of boots for daily hikes as well as a versatile boot for wet weather of the trail. When I tried them on in the store, they felt like they fit. I walked around the store, even up and down the little ramp to see how well they fit waking uphill and downhill. I walked ity off the store excited to use them on the trail.
A week later, I wore them on a easy day hike. After lunch, my tires began to hurt. I thought they would get better as they broke in with more use. A couple of weeks later, I wore them on a weekend trip. By the end of the first day, by toes hurt. As the weekend progressed, I began to regret my purchase.
These boots have a narrow toe box. I tried returning them at the retail store where I bought them they told me there is nothing they can do since they I wore them.
I am stuck with boots that don't fit me, and I'm out a nice chunk of cash. I am extremely disappointed with these boots. I really wanted to like these boots. They appeared promising.

I have owned these for almost three years now. The shoes have held up to everything I ever tried to do with them from local hikes to wood cutting. Last summer I did the 100 Mile Wilderness of the AT without even a blister. Excellent boots and well worth the money. I will be buying another pair for this year's hikes.
