Rated 5 out of 5Â by Duke935 Still going strong
I bought these hikers to walk the Camino de Santiago in Spain. After 500 miles of hiking they are still going strong. Very comfortable and light weight. These hikers worked great in all different types of terrain including mountain trails, pastures and city streets. They got soaked in down pours, covered in mud and logged plenty of miles, but are still holding together well . Extremely well built hiker!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Jayb4 Wide size not wide
I ordered the regular and the wide. I compared both the rubber outsole and pulled out the insoles to compare. Absolutely no difference in width even though one pair is marked "wide". I would be very interested if Vasque can tell me what dimension is different between the wide and regular.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by dabturn Excellent sturdy shoe
I don't use these shoes for hiking. I use them for everyday use in the city. The shoe itself hugs my foot perfectly, and for a guy who has a wide foot, and has difficulties finding a proper fitting shoe, these are supreme.
The other thing I have noticed is that even though they have a rugged sole and sturdy less flexible sole (for rugged climbs) I can still feel my feet through the sole, giving me a sense of connection similar to a running shoe.
These are excellent shoes. No manufacturing issues after months of use. We'll see over time, but so far... again, supreme.
Haven't tried them in the Fall or on trails yet, but I get the feeling they'll perform well.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by SteveKVT So comfortable but not durable
Bought these just over a year ago based on the immediate comfort and they served as my daily shoe. Wore them for short hikes, but used much heartier boots for anything more than a few miles. Unfortunately the toe cap started to peel away after several months and the stitching began unraveling after about 10 months. I glued those up, but the unraveling continues. Should get years of use from shoes in this price range. I see now there's a 1 year warranty (my fault for not checking), but the lack of durability would probably keep me from replacing them with another pair.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by RAKEDonetime VERY UNCOMFORTABLE SHOE
PURCHASED THIS SHOE BASED ON REVIEWS BUT AFTER WEARING FOR A WHILE I WAS DISAPPOINTED. PAID $130.00 FOR A VERY UNCOMFORTABLE SHOE. THOUGHT IF I WEAR THEM THEY WOULD BREAK IN. ALWAYS FELT LIKE A BRICK ON YOUR FEET. SORRY, BUT I HAVE TO BE HONEST. CHALK THIS ONE UP FOR EXPERIENCE.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by BellyAcheJr Great support and comfort
These shoes are very comfortable and provide excellent support. I have a flat arch and my feet will over pronate especially on uneven surfaces, but not with the Vasque Mantra 2.0. My gait was significantly improved. I had more energy with my step. Hiking groomed trails to rocky beaches I found these shoes to have great traction, kept my feet warm and dry and are very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by JKenshi Great Shoe for easy hikes and walk abouts!
I've been a long time customer of Vasque, and when I needed to get a new pair of lighter weight hiking shoes for a trip to Great Britain, these were my choice. They were easy and comfortable to wear on the airplane, and sturdy enough to handle all the miles of moderate hikes we did around Scotland, England, and Wales.
Upon returning home, these shoes continued to perform well in the summer on hikes, but also are great shoes for walking to and from the bus stop in the Northwest on our wet, wintery days.
After a year and a half the treads are starting to get a little thin. I'm still trying to decide if I want to get a new pair, or just have these great old work horses re-soled.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Bravo Slippery
Loved this shoes from the start, they're extremely stable and comfortable. However, that's all rendered useless when, as somebody else here pointed out, the traction is terrible. It doesn't even have to be that wet or moist; even on dry surfaces, these shoes are worse than regular running shoes, and so are completely unreliable when hiking on mountains. A true shame.
