Red Wing, MN – Duncan Callahan gave an incredible, flawless performance during the Lifetime Fitness Leadville Trail 100 this past weekend. The high-profile 100-mile “Race Across the Sky” attracted over 800 entrants including renowned racers Anton Krupicka and Hal Koerner. Callahan’s winning time of 17:43:24 earned him a 2-time victory and a personal record for the difficult, high-altitude race that has participants climbing over 12,500 feet.
“It was definitely one of my best races. There were about 40 miles when I didn’t feel 100%, but once I got into my rhythm, I felt good and strong. ” notes Callahan. “It also helps that I have the very best support group and crew.”

Callahan contributes a great part of the win to his crew consisting of wife, Annie, brother, Bill, who traveled from Rochester, NY for the event, and friends from his alma mater of Western State College. Next up, Callahan will head to the Vasque PROJECT Grand Teton 100 mile race in Alta, WY, Labor Day weekend.
