Vasque is proud to announce its fourth year sponsoring endurance athlete
Duncan Callahan of Gunnison, CO.
A two-time champion of one of the most challenging trail runs in the country, the
Leadville Trail 100, Callahan also had a top 10 finish in the
Hardrock 100 along with victories in the
Spring Desert Ultra 50-miler and the
Sun Mountain 50-miler in 2011. For 2012, Callahan has his sights set on the inaugural
Ultra Trail Mt. Fuji™ in Japan this May and the first
Run Rabbit Run 100 in Steamboat, CO in September. In addition, Callahan will be representing Vasque at the
Chuckanut 50K in March and the Vasque-sponsored
Rock/Creek StumpJump 50K in Chattanooga, TN.
“We are thrilled to have an exceptional athlete like Duncan Callahan representing Vasque on the trail,” says Vasque Sales Manager, Chris Miller. “With such amazing feats already under his belt, we are excited to see what Duncan is capable of this year.”
During 2012, Callahan will be running in the extremely lightweight Vasque Transistor for most of his races and in the lightweight, yet rock-solid Vasque
Mindbender. This winter he has also been testing out and enjoying the new Vasque Snow Junkie, an insulated snowshoe compatible trail runner that will be available in stores this August.
“I am so stoked to be back with Vasque in 2012,” states Callahan. “Vasque continues to impress me with their footwear, and I am humbled they will be providing gear and significant support for another season."
