Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second pair of Breeze Had the Breeze II's and they lasted me a solid 5 years of daily wear during the winter season + weekend hikes and snowboard trips. The new ones have been going strong for about 2 years now under the same abuse and they still look great. Everybody seems to be complaining about the soles wearing out, but I wouldn't expect much less from a boot that's actually being used. Best boots I've ever purchased.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Feels great out of the box Ok, first of all, I just got them but have to say that the promise of "out of the box comfort" was spot on. I plan to give them a good workout in the coming months but so far I love the quality feel and comfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Boot, Not Even Close I used to hike in Asolo's... only boot I'd worn for years. I need something tough, comfortable, and durable, and they just weren't that. What seemed like forever passed before I stumbled on the Breeze III, and after giving it a try up at Desolation, I knew this was it. That's probably as adventurous as I'm going to get with them, but knowing they can handle the worst I could be able to throw at them is reassuring. Now I'm JACKED for the next hike. They do fit a little loose - I usually double up on the socks, so this wasn't an issue for me, but it's something to keep in mind. Buy these boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After a long search, boots are great! I have tried multiple brands of boots for hiking and the Vasque finally fit the bill. My feet are triangular shaped meaning wide forefoot and narrow heel. I tried Keens, Merrills, and various other brands with undesirable results. Most of my hiking is in the Appalachians. I have actually separated toe nails from the toe nail beds, suffered from blisters, etc. From day one the Vasque worked with no foot slipping in the boot, no bilsters, and no foot soreness.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Painful I tried these boots on in the store and they fit great. Went for a 2 mile hike and the right boot lacing eye digs into my foot leaving a painful impression, even wearing thick socks. The left boot fits perfect. I found a sewing in perfection that caused the pain.I returned them to the store who refused to exchange them because I wore them, suggested I try alternative leasing, And only offered to help me return them to the factory. At this point the greatest waste of money I’ve had in the last few years. I threw them away.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Uncomfortable I bought these boots when they had just come out! I was super excited to use them and broke them in a few times when it was raining, the grip is something else! My disappointment came in after my first hike, I could not stand the boots and wanted to throw them away. The grip is fantastic in wet or dry rock, no matter how steep the terrain, the boot is very waterproof, but man was I ready to dispose of these boots. I decided to give them several other tries before ultimately deciding. I have hiked a good number of miles in them but im just not comfortable to the point that I would rather use running shoes. Unfortunately it will be some time before I can save up for another pair, and im still not sure if I would choose Vasque or try something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good if they fit you right. I pulled these on after trying just about everything in Canadian Footwear and MEC. Walked a few steps and they felt snug. Still has some room to adjust the tightness, which meant they could be made comfortable no matter what. I racked up about 70km on them to break them in in a bit of a hurry before leaving to Greenland. Hiking on permafrost land is a little harder than anything else. You spend about 15% of your energy pushing down to solid ground, then you get to actually push yourself up. It's like hiking, but doing lunges for the whole hike (yea, slight exaggeration). Once you hit ground, your boots get wet! These held up great, and I'm not sure if it's the Gore-Tex or the extra (just-in-case) waterproof spray I put on, but every time I saw a creek I walked straight through and shouted "Gore-Tex"! in my friend's face just to show her how great my boots were. Did a couple technical rocky trails in these, and now have only 140km on them, but they've shown no signs of quitting. Through wet zodiac landings, hiking in Nunavut, and trekking up rocky trails, these have had my feet! By the way, the grips are fantastic. I may have been the only one who didn't fall on my butt while walking on the ice cap. Full confidence! Let me know when these are discontinued. I want to buy a lifetime supply. (2 more pairs). Thank you Vasque for keeping my feet very comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Premium Product This is a great quality of boot, I can actually feel the suction of the Vibram sole and the waterproofing is flawless. I have used these boots through rivers, over mountains, in dunes, and even for climbing, both in the forest and the desert, this boot is super versatile and almost perfect. The only downfall is that it is not very comfortable. I'm not saying this goes to everybody, maybe it was just me. After a few hours your feet start to hurt even if it is not used on tough terrain. This is my first time using Vasque boots and I am undecided whether I would buy another pair. I really love them, but comfort is as important as durability.
