Molded toe and heel counters add durability and are designed with vents to add increased breathability. A Gore-Tex membrane with extended comfort waterproof membrane provides guaranteed protection in wet environments while also being highly breathable. The Vasque exclusive Vibram Contact Grip outsole was designed specifically for use with the incredible Megagrip rubber compound, delivering great loose trail traction with uncompromising grip on rocky terrain.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quite disappointed in this boot While these boots are quite comfortable, they apparently met their match with small streams along the hiking trails. I read many reviews on these boots before I purchased them, so I was bummed that my feet were soaked along the trail and the boots now sit on a heater at the hotel to dry out for tomorrow's hike. Would not recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my perfect hiking boot I've been wearing a pair of Vasque insulated boots since about 1990. Love them. Still wear them, but wanted uninsulated boots. I bought a pair of these in Summer 2018, but soon found out that 1 boot had a leak. Vasque replaced the boots. These are so comfortable that I may have to get a second pair since I like to allow my shoes to air out 24 hours after a hike. They support my ankles, have plenty of toe room, good arch support; my perfect hiking boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best! I have had these hikers for the past 5 years and they have never failed me. Hiked to the top of many mountains in Ontario and Quebec, all weather conditions and terrain. Waterproof still at 100%. Great insulation unless it dips to -10•C, I jump to winter boots, but plan on grabbing the winter line here through Vasque. The soles, inner liner, cushion., outter, etc of these boots are still in perfect condition, yet to wear out! I highly recommend these boots for all women looking for a long lasting, comfortable, reliable boot and priced perfect. The CAD$ carries it at a great price as well! I found them at MEC Canada and am so very thankful. Thank you, Vasque! I am here forever :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great first hiking boot! My first true hiking boot. Very waterproof, sturdy, has shown no wear and tear after several months of daily wear and day hikes, as well as one 3-day overnight trip. There was NO break in period (no blisters!) and it's super breathable! My only qualm is that the laces pop out of their keyholes pretty easily. A small price to pay for a wonderfully made boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW!!! So first of all, these boots are very significant to me. I walked across my graduation stage in them before beginning my first-year adventure guiding. Not only were they comfortable from the minute I tried them on, but they also STICK. I've rock scrambled on long approaches, I've hiked thousands of miles, I've worn them for days on end. Basically for a year straight I wore them every day and never ever slipped while moving outside... until I wore through the tred, they let me know I was ready for a new pair lol. And what's more, I didn't realize they were made of leather and might need some care until I had decided I had worn this pair to death. What I'm saying is they are DURABLE, they still look brand new without ever caring for them. I also didn't realize until this week that I had bought the GTX version... and I wore them through the southern Arizona summer. They were never hot, and even after wearing them for days on end, they don't smell. I also rode my mountain bike on an early 23-degree morning with these boots and a pair of wool socks, my feet stayed warm even as I whipped through the desert. This color looks good with basically everything I own. The ONLY bad thing is that the uppers are made with a split leather material and so their shoe repairmen can't resole them, in an age of throwaways I'd like to wear my boots for many years. But I will keep buying and wearing these boots for as long as they make them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to fit feet I dread having to search for footware of any kind bc my feet are so difficult to fit: wide toe box, narrow heels, bunion. I was drawn to these boots bc I could order them in wide and they are waterproof. I love these boots! They were comfortable from the get-go, supportive, and light weight (as compared to other boots I tried). They served me well for hiking in UT. Now, I am wearing them daily, all day, in lieu of a fracture boot for my fractured left foot (unrelated to hiking) bc they are sturdy, supportive, protective, and minimize the motion of my foot. They have been a true asset for me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bananafeet rejoice! I have a closet full of failed attempts to find a winter-worthy boot that's narrow enough for my bananafeet. Every year I acquire another costly, useless, often painful pair to gather dust in my closet. Until now! I ordered narrow and a half size up (9 for my usual 8.5). To be honest, they're still a little wide for me, but with 2 pairs of sox — the compression sox I need to prevent cramps + regular cotton sox — they work. For warmer, drier weather, I'll always stick with my laced-tight Chucks. But for muddy hikes and winter beaches, these are — finally — my comfortable and sturdy friends. And for me they're good without breaking in (which, let's be real, usually means my foot gets broken in, not the shoe).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If you like big boots, and you cannot lie... I have a love-hate relationship with these boots. I bought them as my first pair of hiking boots, ever, several years ago. (At that time, it was the Breeze 2). I was told by the salesperson that I "needed" these, despite my affinity for barefoot, minimalist shoes, narrow feet, and 0 arch. Now I know better. The pros: -Waterproof. Wayyy more so than any other boot Ive tried. And it seems now that I've tried them all... -Durable. After relegating them to work shoes (I do groundskeeping in the summer), they are still in primo condition. And now the cons: -They're clodhoppery. I feel like Im wearing cement blocks on my feet. -They're stiff. It took a whole summer of intense foot agony (I figured Id force break them in since I spent so much $ on them), to make them remotely wearable. Im talking buzz saws on your feet. Even now I don't trust them on steep grades... -They lack precision- I can't place my feet as well as I can in a pair of barefoot shoes. Because theyre a real boot-ish pair of boots, I feel like Im wearing giant, heavy marshmallows. -They are WIDE. Im talking....need to lace them to their absolute tightest and I still feel like my feet are swimming. And it looks mighty weird to be wearing something laced so tight that the lace holders are legit touching... Bottom line: if you are a "boot person", these are your boots. They're tough, durable, and a real boot's boot. If you're like me though, and have a narrow foot or like minimalist shoes, keep shopping. Im trying the VivoBarefoot Tracker now for Boot Pair #3....hopefully third time is the charm!
