Molded toe and heel counters add durability and are designed with vents to add increased breathability. A Gore-Tex membrane with extended comfort waterproof membrane provides guaranteed protection in wet environments while also being highly breathable. An instep TPU shank balances the need for stability, while still remaining nimble. The Vasque exclusive Vibram Contact Grip outsole was designed specifically for use with the incredible Megagrip rubber compound, delivering great loose trail traction with uncompromising grip on rocky terrain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If you like big boots, and you cannot lie... I have a love-hate relationship with these boots. I bought them as my first pair of hiking boots, ever, several years ago. (At that time, it was the Breeze 2). I was told by the salesperson that I "needed" these, despite my affinity for barefoot, minimalist shoes, narrow feet, and 0 arch. Now I know better. The pros: -Waterproof. Wayyy more so than any other boot Ive tried. And it seems now that I've tried them all... -Durable. After relegating them to work shoes (I do groundskeeping in the summer), they are still in primo condition. And now the cons: -They're clodhoppery. I feel like Im wearing cement blocks on my feet. -They're stiff. It took a whole summer of intense foot agony (I figured Id force break them in since I spent so much $ on them), to make them remotely wearable. Im talking buzz saws on your feet. Even now I don't trust them on steep grades... -They lack precision- I can't place my feet as well as I can in a pair of barefoot shoes. Because theyre a real boot-ish pair of boots, I feel like Im wearing giant, heavy marshmallows. -They are WIDE. Im talking....need to lace them to their absolute tightest and I still feel like my feet are swimming. And it looks mighty weird to be wearing something laced so tight that the lace holders are legit touching... Bottom line: if you are a "boot person", these are your boots. They're tough, durable, and a real boot's boot. If you're like me though, and have a narrow foot or like minimalist shoes, keep shopping. Im trying the VivoBarefoot Tracker now for Boot Pair #3....hopefully third time is the charm!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The AT was a breeze with my Breeze III! MY FAVE PIECE OF GEAR!! I switched to this boot from trail runners after 500 miles of foot pain while thru-hiking the AT. After one day in these boots my feet were so happy! I wore one pair for 1,000 miles and then bought the exact same boot but in the wide version and wore that for the rest of my thru-hike. The material that makes up the boot looked brand new even after all the miles and trudging in the rain and mud on the Appalachian Trail. You could only slightly tell all the miles put on by the worn on the tread. I was worried about how they would dry out after heavy rain but they dried fairly quickly (or about the same time as my friends still in trail runners) and the insulation kept my feet warm. When not hiking I wear a 7.5 women's shoe and have a fairly narrow foot. In the Breeze III I wore an 8.5 (you should always go up a size in hiking boots!) and chose the ones with ankle support. I switched to wide version for my second pair to allow a little extra room for my feet. I kept the original insoles in them because they are very breathable and offer great support and paired them with Darn Tough socks. I could not recommend these more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE This Boot After searching for 9+ months to find a boot that felt comfortable for my flat, finicky feet, I have finally found the ones! After a season of trail work and 5 weeks of backpacking with these boots, I feel incredibly confident recommending them to anyone. They have held up well through hundreds of miles of hiking over a year and a half. I have purchased multiple pairs in case this item ever gets discontinued and I inevitably need new boots!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Won't buy another pair Not even a year old and the heel above the sole on one has split. I only wear these 2-3 times a year for hiking. Not worth the money and seriously doubt I will purchase another pair of vasque shoes again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best ever! It is difficult to find women's Hikers or walking shoes in a wide width. I take daily walks down a local trail in summer and winter and these are perfect in that they don't get soaked in water or snow and are also cool in the summer. With other shoes I always experience blisters but these have been a pleasure to wear. Only had them less than a year so I can't vouch for longevity but based on the design they seem to have the ability to endure some hardship.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I think I've fallen in love. Just wore my Breeze IIIs to the summit of Kilimanjaro. No hot spots, no blisters, no coldness.... HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY feet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Boot Ever I have the Breeze II GTX. You have not hiked until you have hiked steep, bushwhacked terrain in soaking wet slippery mud. I just returned from Uganda where I wore these boots into Bwindi Inpenetrable National Park. Even with a very capable porter, it was a very rough slog. These boots supported my feet and ankles, and lived up to their waterproof status. My feet stayed warm and dry. I love these boots! I can’t imagine wearing any others!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super comfortable Probably the best hiking shoe I have. The design allows for easy movement and grips even slippery terrain. I feel confident when I wear them when I hike in the mountains and so happy to have found such a good product. Keep up the great work. The quality put into these boots you just don't see anymore.
